Join Our Volunteer Team
The Gospel Coalition’s 2018 Women’s Conference is taking place on June 14–16, 2018 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. This year’s conference theme is Listen and Live: Promised Grace for Rebel Hearts. Over fifty speakers will walk us through the text of Deuteronomy. Additionally, more than sixty-five workshops and breakout sessions will be available on a wide variety of other subjects.
Our small army of volunteers are critical in making the conference a time of growth, encouragement, and blessing for the attendees. We rely on a committed group of people who are willing to serve our attendees and speakers joyfully and sacrificially. Would you consider helping us serve women from around the world as they gather for fellowship, teaching, and refreshment? If you are 18 years or older and are able to serve according to the terms outlined below, you are eligible to be a volunteer!
In order to be eligible to volunteer, you MUST be available to serve at any time during June 14–16, 2018. Please make sure that you are free to be scheduled any time on each of those days before applying.
Volunteers should expect to serve a minimum of 15 hours, which will be scheduled across those days. You will also need to be available the evening of the Wednesday, June 13, 2018 for the mandatory Volunteer Orientation.
If an unforeseen circumstance arises and you need to cancel your volunteer commitment, please contact us no later than May 13, 2018. This will ensure that we have adequate time to find a replacement and will keep us from turning away potential volunteers if our needs have been met. Cancellation will forfeit your conference registration.
A mandatory orientation will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 5:30–7:00 PM at the Indiana Convention Center. Dinner will be provided. At orientation you will hear from The Gospel Coalition team, meet your team leaders, eat dinner together, and receive a brief training on your volunteer role.
Dress is snappy-casual (men, nice jeans / slacks / khakis; women, jeans / slacks / skirt). You will be given a conference t-shirt to wear during your shifts. Be aware that the temperature in the building can be QUITE cool, especially before sessions start. You might want to plan to wear a long-sleeve shirt under your t-shirt or bring a light jacket/cardigan. We also recommend that you wear comfortable shoes for walking and standing.
Travel, lodging, and other expenses are the volunteer’s responsibility.
• Complimentary, non-transferable registration
• A conference volunteer t-shirt (to be worn during your shifts)
• Access to the volunteer lounge with complimentary snacks and drinks
• Reimbursement up to $12 for meals that occur during your shift
